Syncromental started off  in May 2019 as Kathy and Ade, a unique UK duo who wrote, composed, performed, recorded and produced their own songs which cross many Genre boundaries. They were known for being serious about music, humorous in their videos and passionate about emotional engagement with their eclectic repertoire.  

Original and quirky, Syncromental were two of a kind who left a lasting impression with all of their listeners!

"Which Genre?", their debut album of 2019, has achieved great success. Home produced and rough around the edges, each song has a different style and sets the stage for an amazing live performance. 

Their second album "Somethin' Outta Nothin'" was released on the 1st of September 2020, despite the Pandemic delaying its production. There's a notable maturity in composition and production quality (it's been a massive learning curve!) and was mastered at Prism Studios by Shaun Lowe. Since the end of 2020, Kathy and Ade have been working on separate projects due to a different outlook in their future musical direction and with no longer being together on a personal level. Kathy is working hard to break into sync licensing with her own original material, whilst working as a female producer/songwriter and vocalist. Ade is taking some time out. Look out for some of their songs on a film production released in 2025/26, entitled The House That Zombies Built by Silent Studios Productions, along with three placements in a river conservation programme and lots more in the pipeline! Syncromental are signed as non-exclusive with several sync licensing agencies/publishing libraries, but also like to pitch for briefs independently.

Kathy performed at the Yoga and Feel Good Music Festival and at Glaston-Bury Music Festival in the summer of  2022. She also had an in-store live launch to promote the sale of her new debut solo album entitled Property of No One at HMV Bury. The CD is also available from this website and in stock at Wax and Beans record store and HMV.  It has now also been released on all streaming platforms and contains five previously unreleased tracks.

Her (unreleased) song Borrow Your Boyfriend was voted as a finalist in the Indie Songwriting Awards for Best Modern Country Song 2021 and Kathy was a finalist in the Rock Female Vocalist of the Year Rampage Music Awards 2022. More recently, Kathy was asked to record backing vocals as a guest artist for a new album by popular rock/blues band Lol Goodwin who toured the USA before the Pandemic struck. The album is now released and available for purchase.

New for 2023, Kathy has been collaborating with several American music producers and has a new Collab Corner section on the website worth checking out!

She has recently provided music for and played a character in a short film entitled Knitty Gritty, which can now be watched on YouTube. 

Kathy has also started to write and produce her own music independently with a shift in direction of genre, as well as being signed by another two music libraries. Her most recent (ongoing) project is creating an album of  vocalized 80s trailer cover songs for libraries, as this seems to be a recent trend in many Netflix shows, along with other television streaming networks. Her hit single A Heart Gone Bad had been signed exclusively by the American company Epitome Music Library and is available for commercial use through either Kathy or Epitome. Live gigs for 2024 included The Johnny Alfrey Memorial Festival in May, Milnrow Funday in June and Rock to the Hills in July, where Kathy  performed a mix of original and rock cover songs; including The Clash, Joan Jett, The Cult and Blondie.  Kathy is taking a step back from performing live in 2025 to concentrate on writing and producing her music in her home studio.

A rock cover of True Colors by Cyndi Lauper was released in February 2025, followed by a feisty EDM track (Gonna Blow Your House Down) and out this summer, a laidback  Afro Pop song entitled Living For Tonight. Kathy is really enjoying the freedom of exploring other genres of music as a solo artist!
